파시즘의 귀환과 신반동주의는 언제나 어떤 미래가 이미 도착했다는 선언으로 시작된다. 시간은 더 이상 중립적 배경이 아니다. 알고리즘으로 가속된 지구적 생산·소비 사슬 속에서 권력은 흐름을 선점해 미래-가격을 고정한다. 방화주의(Pyro-politics)는 이 선점된 시간을 태워 버리는 전략이다. 화염은 과열된 현재를 불완전 연소 상태로 되돌려, 새로운 사건이 삽입될 간극을 만든다. 이때 정치적 주체는 흩어진 잔불 속에서 태어나는 불안정한 시간을 조직하며, “정치적 상상력”을 공간이 아닌 시계열 안에서 되찾는다. 방화는 파괴가 아니라, 타버린 잔해가 재편성될 여백을 확보하는 초학제적 조경술이다. 이 현장은 미술이라는 고립된 해석에 갇히지 않고 전시장 바깥의 모든 것과 함께 연속적으로 이해될 수 있어야 한다. 여기서의 방화는 더 큰 전지구적 화재라는 연속체의 일부이다. 따라서 각 작업들은 완결된 내용을 가진 변증법적 체계가 아니라, 유기체와 무기체를 가로지르는 거대한 세계의 국지적 진술에 불과하다. 이론과 예술은 더 이상 단선적 논증의 형식이 아니다. 여기서는 정통적 논증과 반박의 절차가 의미를 잃고, 용융된 담론들이 흐르면서 서로의 벽을 침식한다. (글. 윤태균)


The return of fascism and the rise of neo-reaction always begin with a declaration that a certain future has already arrived. Time is no longer a neutral backdrop. Within global chains of production and consumption accelerated by algorithms, power pre-empts the flows and fixes the future-price. Pyro-politics is a strategy for burning this pre-empted time. Flame returns the overheated present to a state of incomplete combustion, opening intervals into which new events can be inserted. In this moment, the political subject organizes the precarious time that flickers among scattered embers, reclaiming “political imagination” not in space but along a temporal series. Arson here is not destruction but a transdisciplinary landscaping that secures the margin in which burnt remains can be recomposed. […omitted…]
